Petrů, Jan ; Cebe, Jan (advisor) ; Bednařík, Petr (referee)
This thesis Development of the Rudé právo during 1972 - 1991 discusses the activities and developments of this journal and its editors at a time when in Czechoslovakia began the period of normalization, causing compaction ratios and purges especially among journalists. The other titles had to respond to this situation, including the Rudé právo itself, which was, however, in exceptional circumstances, as reported directly to the directives of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. In the Rudé právo so appeared only official information (political, social, cultural and sports), which corresponded to the ideology of the Communist Party. It is therefore interesting to investigate this periodical in the context of contemporary events and to analyze its activities in connection with the fact that we now have. The editor's work was based on the discussions and proposals adopted at a meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and its Secretariat, whose member was also editor in chief of the Rudé právo. The journal had automatically secured the highest allocations of newsprint, even during the late '80s, when it was real shortage of this material. After 1990, when began the consolidation of printed periodicals, the Rudé právo transformed into a joint-stock company whose majority...

TRÜBENEKROVÁ, Petra
This diploma thesis approaches the life story of one of the very important Czech historians postwar historiography, which has so far been overlooked, however. The work does not try to give information only about the life and works of Joseph Novotny, but classifies the historian in the context of time, focusing on his views and attitudes, which supported the communist ideology of the 60th of the 20 century, which was a great supporter. The author in creating the present study was based primarily on personal collection of Josef Novotný, which is stored in the Archives of the National Museum in Prague, Josef Novotny's work itself, the literature on the history of the First Republic, Second Republic and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, not least in the literature used to history of the historiography of the late 20th century. The work is divided into five chapters. The first chapter gives information about the life of Joseph Novotny. From second to fifth chapter are portrayed his personal attitudes and opinions of the historical situation until 30 years until the early 40th of the 20 century. About Josef Novotny are not yet issued any publication that would cover his life and work. Even literature is silent about him most. Therefore, the author sees the biggest benefit is that the present study provided information about the historian, who has been neglected Czech historiography, and perhaps opened a new research topic that can be developed further historians.

Václav a Klára Paclt as protagonists of labour movement of 1st half of 20th century
DUŠÁKOVÁ, Veronika
In the first part of my bachelor essay, called Václav a Klára Paclt as protagonists of labour movement of 1st half of 20th century, I have tried to approach an issue of labour movement, its cause, process and its sequels. There is also a reference and comparison among labour movements in other European countries. I have compared general knowledge, abstracted mainly from specialized publications, scientific papers and studies, with information and facts abstracted by studying of archival sources concerning life and activities of two workmen: Vaclav and Klara Paclt. It has been a research of police and judicial protocols which include records from investigations of charges against Vaclav Paclt. Theoretical and practical levels of my bachelor essay is also based on a statement of Paclt´s son Jiri. This statement has been considered as one of elementary sources.
